PARAMPARA RESTAURANT

Parampara Restaurant is a thoughtfully reimagined interior renovation project that transforms an existing built structure into a warm and inviting dining environment. The design intent was to introduce minimal yet impactful interventions while redefining spatial experience through geometry, materiality, and movement. At the heart of the space lies a signature oval central table, positioned strategically to align with the main entrance axis. This deliberate placement creates a strong visual connection from the street into the restaurant, drawing visitors inward and establishing the table as the spatial and social focal point. Accentuated with black hexagonal flooring beneath, the central element becomes both a functional feature and a design statement. The palette embraces earthy tones, curved forms, and soft contours to foster comfort and familiarity. Walls are articulated with bold, abstract circular forms that subtly echo traditional motifs while maintaining a contemporary expression. The use of white terrazzo flooring enhances spatial perception, making the interiors feel more expansive and cohesive. Furniture selection plays a crucial role in the overall narrative. The wooden chairs are designed as standalone sculptural elements, complementing the architecture while maintaining visual lightness. Clean lines, natural textures, and balanced proportions create harmony between built form and movable elements. The overall design philosophy focuses on crafting an atmosphere where people can connect over food and conversation—a space that feels rooted in tradition yet expressed through a modern, minimal lens. Parampara becomes more than a restaurant; it becomes a place of gathering, warmth, and shared experience.
